COVID19 Measures at the Spain VAC
As operations at the Visa Application Centers for Spain in St. Petersburg, you are kindly asked to adhere to the highest standards of health and safety based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization and local health authorities: you will need to self-disclose COVID-19 symptoms, to undergo temperature screening at the entrance of the VAC using non-contact equipment, to wear appropriate mask and gloves. You will be checked contactless by the security service of the VAC. In case you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please, DO NOT visit our VAC. Applicants without mask and gloves and applicants with a temperature rise above 37 degrees will not be allowed to enter the premises. As the VAC cannot be crowded, you may be asked to wait outside the VAC. While waiting inside, please keep social distance of 1.5 - 2 meters. Only one person will be authorized for each 8 m². Limited number of customers will be permitted inside the Centre.
Please be informed that your appointment slot will be rescheduled to a later date in case you have any COVID-19 symptoms. We suggest you to prepare your application and all necessary documents in advance to avoid waiting time at the VAC.
Protecting the health of applicants and our employees during these times is of utmost importance. We are following the recommendations of the Health and Governmental authorities and have put in place best practices to minimize the possible exposure of applicants and employees. For these reasons, applicants are requested not to come twice to our premises; your passports can be returned via courier service at a minimal cost.

Taking into account that these are exceptions to the application of temporary travel restrictions not essential for reasons of public order and public health due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19,all visa applications whose applicants cannot prove conclusively that are included in any of the categories exempted from the restrictions will be refused.
A new regulation has been issued by the Spanish Ministry of Health, dealing with the health measures to be implemented and concerning the travellers arriving in Spain. In this regard, it is mandatory for prospective travellers to know about the following:

Resumption of the amission of national visit applications
The Consulate of Spain in St. Petersburg informs that from 15 May it will begin to receive again applications exclusively from NATIONAL VISAS by appointment, excluding those processed on the basis of the Entrepreneurial Support Act of 27 September 2013 (Ley 14/2013). Provisionally, and until further notice, appointments will be provided by the Consulate by email for which interested parties must apply to the address cog.sanpeter.vis@maec.es, indicating full name of all applicants (in the event that they are more than one), passport number of all applicants, contact phone number, type of visa requested (non-profit residence, studies, etc.).
The Consulate of Spain in St. Petersburg takes the opportunity to communicate that the categories of applicants exempt from temporary travel restrictions to the European Union (for example, crew members of ships travelling to Spain to board a ship in a Spanish port; persons who must travel to Spain for the death of a family member in Spain; etc.), who need to apply for a visa, they must contact the Consulate via email cog.sanpeter.vis@maec.es to request an appointment and be informed of the specific documentation they need to present.
